Set In South Pakistan, This Controversial Novel Is A Searing Study Of Evil. So as I started the book many thing remains the same as predicted but still there were some mysterious and puzzles that I found once or the other too much influent because at that particular moment they really seemed a lot unnatural to understand for example the marriage of Tehmina with Mustafa, though she is already knowing a lot of stuff about Mustafa’s psycho nature and besides she didn’t want to hurt Sherry (Mustafa’s fourth wife) then why still she marries him? Another question that I had in mind was that what force is this that makes a normal human being to bare such a pain that she had suffered as Mustafa wife such that his physical torture, constant deceptions, illegal relations with her sister Adila and many things like this but why ? And how she was able to get herself away for her imprisonment besides getting failed at least three times before? But the these mysterious solved more oddly than expected because these all questions have single convergent answer and that is she is human, The human who at once can be worst like a drug addict who although very well knowing the effect of poison on himself still wants it even at the cost of his life as well, and the phenomena of pain is prominent as long as one is having feelings once they are they vanished then it is vanished! And to the point of getting out of the imprisonment one has very well said that “A woman can tolerate anything for the sake of her marriage except other woman and most especially when it is her own sister” and that’s what gave her the courage to shatter all the mirrors around her showing her only the deception and I think this is the same source of courage needed to write such manuscripts disclosing some of family secrets impossible to face in any society.īut during discussing all these things there is another point that comes to us through the context and that is nature, that as his own way of revenge, as she destroys Sherry’s life her own sister Adila destroys her and so does happens to her mother as well and beside there is also relevance that how greed oriented our politics really are that only for power and government you are willing to bow down before your enemies, planning to destroy your own armed forces but! What we could expect more than this from these parasites! And the revenge to Mustafa Khar, I think there is nothing more affected to him as “MY FEUDAL LORD.When a woman with brains and beauty from a wealthy background decides to take her fate into her own hands and challenge the restrictions of a male-oriented, conservative society, the consequences can be devastating.Born into one of Pakistan's most influ My Feudal Lord My Feudal Lord Blasphemy - A Novel

Before the starting of this book I already had a picture in my mind that how this story was going to be i-e there is person, a feudal lord in this case Mustafa Khar, too humble and kind for the world outside but nothing more than a barbarian from inside, always trying to crush others self-respect only to satisfy his own, profound to torture to his wives and servants, supportive to implement the rules only for his own sake and too proud and loving to his male inheritance but exception in this book because this feudal lord on an occasion had also shown the same violence to his elder son Abdur Rahman who was once caught smoking. Mustafa Khar and I do really believed till I read some rev iews of “My Feudal Lord” by Tehmina Durani. At that time I heard from peoples that this story is based merely on the life of an ex-governor of Punjab Mr.

I remember almost 6 years ago, there was a drama by Noman Ijaz entitled as “Mera Saaein” demonstrating the role of a feudal lord who only for the sake of his inheritance or for the wish to have son makes marriages.
